Hi there,
I’m Mike Kiel a Reference and Instruction Librarian at the University of Baltimore and the President for ACRL-MD for the 2018-2019 year. To me one of the biggest advantages of having ACRL-MD be part of the Maryland Library Association is that we have the opportunity to work together on efforts that effect all libraries in creative ways. I’m hoping that we can build on our strong slate of presentations from this year’s annual conference to further make this group a place where we can do work that is valuable to not only us, but everyone in Maryland.
If it’s been a while since you’ve been a part of one of our events I hope you’ll join us for our virtual business meeting and journal club on Friday the 20th at 11:30. It’s a great way to get involved and keep up with your professional as you meet new colleagues. You don’t even have to leave your office!
During the short business meeting we’ll be discussing plans for a fall program and other events throughout the year and how you can help. ACRL-MD is always interested in new faces and new ideas so I hope to “see” some new and returning faces. If you can’t attend send us an email and I’ll be glad to talk with you about our plans for the year.
