Join us on June 10th for ACRL MD’s annual unconference!

Join ACRL MD for the summer program “Square Peg, Round Hole: Creative problem solving in the 21st century library“.This solution-oriented unconference is a great peer learning and networking opportunity. During the course of the day, you’ll hear informal and fun lightning talks about solutions other libraries have implemented, discuss challenges you’re facing with other attendees, and brainstorm better ways to meet them. The morning will consist of brainstorming activities and featured talks. In the afternoon, attendees will have the opportunity to vote on additional discussion topics.

Cost of program:
$40 for MLA members
$60 for non-members
$34 for students

The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on June 10th, 2014. It will take place on Stevenson University’s Greenspring Campus in the St. Paul Companies Pavillion, which can be seen on this map. Parking is free for attendees.  Breakfast and lunch will be served and vegetarian options will be available.

Up for the challenge? There are two steps:

Using this form, submit a topic to the organizers by May 28th if you would like to be considered for a featured lightning talk. This topic should include a problem or challenge faced by your library as well as the solution that eased the problem. Topics will be reviewed by a panel, and some attendees will be asked to prepare a longer lightning talk in order to share their challenge and solution.
