March 12, 2014Posted by on
Each week between now and the 2014 MLA/DLA Conference, we’re highlighting one of the conference sessions sponsored by ACRL MD. The conference will be held from May 7-9 at the Clarion Resort Hotel in Ocean City, MD. For more information on the conference, please take a look at the conference program (PDF).
Putting the Value Back Into Event Evaluation
Thursday, May 8
How do you determine whether a library program was successful or not and then, what do you do with that information? Often success is measured by how many people attended or how much participants liked the event, but this information doesn’t tell the full impact of the program. In this session, participants will learn how to evaluate their own event assessments and then transform them into a simple two-item questionnaire that readily generates data that speaks to the value of library programming.
This program is worth 1 contact hour of continuing education.
