Become a Wiz at Dataviz
Friday, May 10
11:00 – 12:15
According to the maxim, a picture (or graph or chart) is worth a thousand words. Indeed, charts and graphs are great tools for packing a lot of information into a small space. So, when you decide to use visualization in a presentation, how do you design it so those thousand words say what you want them to? In this session, attendees will learn some of what cognitive scientists can tell us about how the brain processes information. Using this as a background, attendees will then learn practical tips and techniques for designing data visualizations that effectively illustrate and persuade.
This program is worth 1 contact hour of continuing education.
