Surviving and Thriving x3: How an Academic, Public and Special Library are Using the Economic Downturn to Improve Communication with Customers
Friday, May 11
11:15am – 12:30pm
There is no question that the economic downturn has forced libraries of all types to make tough choices. Many information professionals have been left wondering how they can still maintain and promote library services with shrinking budget lines. In this panel discussion, an academic librarian, a public librarian, and a special librarian will address how the recession has moved them to improve the ways they are communicating with their libraries’ customers. All three will discuss their projects, lessons learned from their efforts, and make recommendations for cost-effective customer communication in libraries
