Looking for presentation opportunities? Consider submitting a proposal for the Pennsylvania Library Association conference this fall! Bernadette A. Lear, PaLA 2012 Conference Program Committee Co-Chair, explains how. Proposals are due by April 1st.
Dear Colleagues —
The annual conference of the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) will be held in Gettysburg from September 30 through October 3, 2012. The program committee is now accepting program proposals for the conference. Please submit a program proposal — due April 1st! To plan out your proposal, view the questions at http://palibraries.org/associations/9291/files/ProgramProposalForm.pdf . You may want to type your answers ahead of time in Word, so that you can then cut and paste them into the online form. When you’re ready, just go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WS3LWZY to submit your proposal.
I have been attending PaLA since I moved to Pennsylvania in 2004. Especially given shrinking travel budgets, state conferences are an economical way to learn new things, network with colleagues, and keep active in the profession. I hope I’ll see you in Gettysburg this Fall!
If you want more details about submitting a proposal, just let me know (contact her at bal19@psu.edu). Remember, proposals are due APRIL 1st!
