Join ACRL MD for an online discussion series that will connect librarians from across Maryland! This spring semester we are pleased to host three sessions in MLA’s WIMBA meeting room. All of the discussions will take place on a Friday from 12:30-1:30pm and are completely free! You do not need to be a member of ACRL MD or MLA to attend.
March 30 – Survivor: Instruction Season – Take a break from your instruction sessions and join us to share your favorite tips and tricks for making it through the busy season in one piece – in and out of the library! What do you do to keep your personal, and professional, cool?
April 20 – Professional Literature Discussion – Got a pile of journals to read from spring semester publications? David Dahl will select some articles and lead a discussion. (Articles will be announced at the March 30 event, and citations will be posted on the ACRL MD blog.)
May 18 – Conference Recap – Come talk with your colleagues about what happened at the 2012 MLA/DLA Joint Conference. Find out what you missed because you were in another session! Time permitting, we’ll also share tips and ideas for conference attendance, from packing your suitcase to managing your time while you’re there.
To join us, just access the WIMBA meeting room. The meeting room name is md_meetingMLA While we recommend that you have access to a microphone and speakers for these sessions, it is not required. You do not need to attend all three sessions, and if you need to jump in a little late or leave early (or eat lunch), please do! Questions? Please contact Alison Cody at firstname.lastname@example.org.
