Jim Fish to present at next ACRL MD business meeting
July 5, 2011Posted by on
Please join us for the next ACRL MD meeting! It will take place on July 11, 2011 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Loyola-Notre Dame Library in Baltimore, MD. During this meeting, we will discuss upcoming program planning and summarize experiences from the annual ALA conference. All are welcome and encouraged to attend as this is a great way to get involved with the division.
In addition, Jim Fish, the director of the Baltimore County Public Library, will share his ALA presentation on assessment in libraries with us. The focus of his talk will be the value of using numbers and will include current examples of this type of evaluation.
The meeting will be held in the Level 1 Seminar Room at Loyola Notre Dame Library. Directions to the library parking lot are available here: http://www.loyola.edu/library/directions.htm. A parking permit is not needed, but attendees should check in at the security desk upon arrival.
If you are unable to attend in person, we will be using Wimba to extend the meeting to any interested virtual attendees. The Wimba meeting URL is http://mdlib.wimba.com/launcher.cgi?room=md_meetingMLA. After clicking the link you will need to enter ‘md_meetingMLA’ as the Room ID and your name. You will need speakers or headphones connected to your computer for audio. A microphone is recommended for participation, but Wimba also provides a chat feature, which we will be monitoring.
We look forward to seeing you there!
