If you haven’t registered for the 2010 MLA Conference (4/21-4/23) yet, there is still time. Advanced Registration ends on March 15 (save $30 by registering early!).
ACRL MD is sponsoring several exceptional programs, geared towards topics of interest to academic librarians. This year’s sessions will get you up to speed on the latest developments and trends in mobile devices and information literacy, provide you tips for improving your library’s marketing materials by strengthening your graphic design, and give you ideas for selling your skills in a tight job market. ACRL MD will also be co-sponsoring a pre-conference with LMD titled “Think It! Plan It! Do It!”. Susan Paznekas, Public Library Consultant from MSDE will lead participants along the pathway to successful project implementation.
Be sure to take a look at the conference program for full details on all ACRL MD sponsored activities, as well as everything else available to you at the 2010 MLA Conference.
I encourage you to attend the conference, connect with other nearby librarians, and take advantage of the excellent learning opportunities that are available to you this year.
See you there!
